This was the very first instrumental I wrote using a drop D tuning (capo 2nd fret) the style was inspired by Bert Janch and Davey Graham in the days when instrumentals was dead cool. As I only have 3 useful fingers on the left hand, I need to keep the bass line going whilst I twiddle away oin the mid and treble tones. Some of the lines are double tracked to give a chorus effect (we didn't have them in those days) hope you like it.

 

A big thank you to Terry Murray who spent ages remastering Cloudburst from old quarter inch tape, retuning and re designing the CD cover, much hard work and patience and lots of beers on my tab -thanks Terry
